We collect and safeguard personal and financial information in strict compliance with East African data protection and cooperative banking regulations across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

1. Data Collection

We collect only the information required for safe cooperative banking.

Identification: Full Name, National ID (Kenya ID, Uganda NIN, or Tanzania NIDA), and Date of Birth.
Contact: Mobile Money phone number (M-Pesa, MTN, or Airtel), Email, and Residential Address.
Financial Data: SACCO share capital, savings deposits, guarantor pledges, and loan repayment history.

2. Data Processing

Your data powers member verification, accounting, and SMS alerts.

Verifying member identity (KYC) and preventing unauthorized account access.
Processing Mobile Money (M-Pesa/MTN/Airtel) deposits, loan disbursements, and Instant SMS Alerts.
Maintaining an Unchangeable Audit Trail and complying with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws.

3. Regulatory & Partner Sharing

We never sell member or SACCO data.

Information is shared strictly where mandated for regulated cooperative operations:

Regulatory Authorities: SASRA (Kenya), UMRA (Uganda), and TCDC (Tanzania).
Credit Reference Bureaus: Licensed CRBs in your country of registration.
Payment & Messaging Gateways: Licensed Mobile Money operators (M-Pesa, MTN, Airtel) and SMS alert gateways.

Encrypted storage and tamper-proof audit trails.

We enforce end-to-end TLS encryption, role-based Board access controls, and an Unchangeable Audit Trail compliant with the Kenya Data Protection Act, Uganda Data Protection and Privacy Act, and Tanzania Personal Data Protection Act.

5. Your Member Rights

Full transparency and control over your personal records.

Inspect your complete savings and loan ledger anytime via the Member Portal or Mobile App.
Request correction of inaccurate KYC or contact details.
Request account closure and data archival once all SACCO obligations and guarantees are settled.
